Eat, Exercise, Write it Down

This is the health log journal that I purchased at modcloth.com. It has four sections I think, exercise, food, body and then notes & references. Since I've been making progress, I've been keeping track of the foods I eat and the workouts I've been doing. The book is very small, portable, and it's simple designs are what make it cute.
I've been doing cardio exercises every other day for about 2-3. For now, I only stick to do 20-45 minutes of Zumba Wii fitness. It's fun for me and it doesn't feel like I'm working out. It also burns a ton of calories. I go to zumbacalories.com to get a gist of how many calories I've burned. It bases the results off of your weight, level you've danced at, and duration. Another thing I like to do is a 20 min interval run exercise on the treadmill that I got trimmed fitness.com. I usually burn about 188-200 calories doing that. I don't want to do strength training exercises yet, because they just hurt like hellllllllll. I'm not ready for that yet. However, I've also heard that just doing cardio won't make you lose weight. You have to get muscle also because it helps boost metabolism.

Pretty Chill day

Today was no school, so it was basically a chill day. I tried to eat how I normally would at school. For breakfast I had maple brown sugar oatmeal with walnuts & a little hit of honey. I used to add milk whenever I ate oatmeal, but not anymore. It tastes pretty good with water if you ask me. Plus, if you use milk that increase the calorie intake.
For lunch I had a tomato, turkey and cheese sandwich, that I melted over the stove. I used whole wheat bread. Then throughout the day I drank cups of water and had an Apple as a snack. For dinner I ate some left of brown rice mixed with veggies, chicken breast, and 3 cubes of potatoes.

Slow and Steady Wins The Race :)

For some reason I have been feeling really good about this whole healthier lifestyle/losing weight process. Probably because I've been trying my best to keep a positive mindset. For lunch I'll be having a tomato turkey and cheddar cheese sandwhich, with whole wheat bread. I got the recipe from fitness.com and I've also subscribed to their magazine for just $5 for one year. I also have a nice apple and a Nature Valley oats & honey granola bar. I've been trying to switch up what I eat for my meals, because I don't want to get bored and give up. So far for my workouts I just focus on cardio. I'll tone up later, maybe when I have a flatter stomach. I try to exercise every other day, so I won't get overwhelmed and discouraged, that's what happened last time. I'm thankful that I have a treadmill at home because there is no way that I'll be able to go to the gym.
